Seahouses lifeboat crew assists vessel

Seahouses RNLI was called out earlier this afternoon to go to the aid of a dive boat which had broken down off the coast of Northumberland.

Both lifeboats were launched after Humber Coastguard received a call for assistance at 1.30pm.

The vessel had suffered mechanical failure close to the Farne Islands and three divers were in the water.

They were recovered from the sea and the dive boat was escorted back to Beadnell harbour, where Coastguards from Seahouses were in attendance.
