To celebrate the day, Seahouses Primary School came together to take part in a range of workshops all focused on developing safe use of the internet.

Members of the local community, including local PC Alan Morton, visited the school to share their knowledge and expertise. The children raised lots of questions, but also shared their wisdom with staff and adults.

Headteacher Mrs Allen said: “Modern technology is constantly changing. As a result, we need to educate our children about the wonderful benefits of the internet, but also how to use it safely and respectfully.

“Next week, we look forward to holding parent workshops where the children will be on hand to teach their parents and grandparents to use the internet safely.”
