Scarecrows will once again invade a Northumberland village this weekend.

Rennington Scarecrows is an annual event on the calendar during the August Bank Holiday weekend and this year is no exception.

The festival will be on display from Saturday, August 27, to Monday, August 29, from 10am to 4pm, with eye-catcging and clever designs dotted around the village to delight visitors and residents.

The event will also feature a sausage sizzle and marquees on the village green, as well as teas in the village hall and homemade cakes.

A scarecrow quiz, priced £1, will be available to help guide people around the village and see the scarecrows on display.

Proceeds from the event go towards the village hall.
