Greg Lowe on guitar, Richard Moody on violin and Danny Koulack on bass add clever arrangements rich with virtuosity and style.

The repertoire is eclectic, fun and fascinating, featuring finger-snapping swing beats, honey-slowed love croons and show stopping ‘extreme’ yodelling, including Champion the Wonder Horse and Sweet Georgia Brown. Woody counts among his influences Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, Jimmy Rodgers, Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys.

Woody is touring with Highlights Rural Touring Scheme as part of a collaboration between Contact East, Canada and North of England rural touring schemes.

Woody and his orchestra are at the Cheviot Centre, Wooler, on Friday, April 15, at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £9 and £8 concessions and can be obtained from the Cheviot Centre on 01668 281406 or on line from www.highlightsnorth.co.uk
