CRISIS MANAGEMENT PLAN IS IN THE OFFING
A crisis management plan for Rothbury is in the process of being made.
Couns Hesler and Gilson are working together to create a plan for any emergency incident in the parish.
The council heard that Coun Hesler has been in contact with Ian Clough at Northumberland County Council and expects to hear back in the near future.
BRIDGE PARAPET DEFACED BY GRAFFITI
Coun Jeff Reynalds told the meeting that one of the new parapets on Rothbury’s road bridge has been defaced with graffiti.
Someone has written ‘I luv Lucy’ on it. Attempts have been made to clean it and it has been reported to police.
BROADBAND UPTAKE IS ONE OF THE BEST
Coun Bridgett told the meeting that the uptake of superfast broadband in Rothbury was one of the best in the North East. Two cabinets have so far been installed, opposite the Coquetvale and near the Three Wheat Heads in Thropton.
He said: “The take up is in excess fo 40 per cent for the cabinet in Rothbury.”
More are being installed.
LETTER OF CONCERN OVER COMPLAINTS
A resident has written to the council with concern about the number of complaints made by another member of the public. David Brown asked the council to reveal what information it had been asked for and, if it wouldn’t, he would submit a request under the Freedom of Information Act. Chairman Alan Fendley agreed to arrange a meeting with Mr Brown to discuss the issues.
