Robbie gets cash help to study the lie of land

An employee of Alnwick-based property management company George F White has been awarded a farming scholarship.

Robbie Moore, based at the company’s Alnwick and Shiptonthorpe offices, has been given the bursary by the Nuffield Farming Scholarship Trust.

The trust, given its current name in 1978, hands out about 20 scholarships annually to people working within the food, farming, horticulture, rural or associated industries to enable them to travel and study a topic they are passionate about.

Robbie’s study will question whether short-term land tenure has led to inefficiency within our food production system and possible solutions to address the issue.

He will spend around 20 weeks travelling across the globe to complete his study.
