Robbers threaten staff at Amble petrol station

Police are hunting two men who threatened staff at an Amble petrol station and stole cash.

The robbery happened at 4.40pm yesterday at Penny Petroleum on Amble Industrial Estate.

The men threatened a member of staff, who was forced to hand over money.

They left the store and got into a vehicle that was waiting nearby and drove off.

The cashier was shaken but not hurt.
