Roadworks on trunk roads in Northumberland and North Tyneside this week

Highways England is planning the following roadworks on the A1 and A19 this week, from today.

A1 Morpeth: here will be work ongoing until spring 2017 for the construction of a bypass. There will be various phases of daytime and night-time lane and carriageway closures, with narrow lanes and a 40mph speed restriction in place. There will also be a 24-hour lane closure in place north and southbound until the project is completed.

A1 Westmoor to Newton on the Moor: There will be a 24-hour contraflow in place north and southbound for resurfacing work. This will take place until mid July.

A1 Beal: There will be traffic signals in place north and southbound for investigation work. This will take place until Wednesday between 8pm and 6am.

A19 Killingworth to Moor Farm, North Tyneside: There will be a northbound carriageway closure for resurfacing work, taking place from Monday to Wednesday. Then from this Thursday to Thursday, June 30, the carriageway will be closed southbound. All these closures will take place between 8pm and 6am with a diversion in place.
