RNLI crew tows boat to Amble harbour after it suffered engine failure off the Northumberland coast

Amble lifeboat was called out to go to the aid of a broken down vessel off the Northumberland coast.

The all-weather lifeboat was launched at 11.20am on Thursday, May 13 to help a vessel three nautical miles north of Coquet Island which had suffered engine failure.

Once on scene shortly, the lifeboat crew rigged up a tow and brought the vessel back into the safety of the harbour.

Once safe the lifeboat stood down and was made ready for service.
