Entering Hilltop.

I have to admit, the scene gave me goosebumps, as The Walking Dead hits the high note.

Thanks to Jesus, and the closest following of the comics there has been, The Walking Dead is at its best. We are opening the world up to new communities and new characters.

The big thing in this episode was the Hilltop. A completely new location, with its own methods of surviving, my entire fan boy shook as the gates opened.

The transfer from page to screen throughout this entire episode is perfect. Seeing the Hilltop come to life was, to be honest, spectacular. The wooden walls, the blacksmith's, the men with spears and the overall 'settler' feel to it, is all portrayed brilliantly.

And Xander Berkeley as the Hilltop Colony's leader Gregory is a good suit to his role. He plays the crafty, but cowardly man who has subjected his community to Negan's rule. To be honest, the amount of times Negan's name was dropped, I was surprised he didn't show up in this episode.

As well as a close comic book follow, Knots Untie built up the inevitable introduction to the big bad wolf himself, whether it be in the season finale or even next week.

It's nice to see The Walking Dead expanding, and not just in terms of other areas and characters. The whole show feels as if it is moving forward, mainly because of its page following, but the feel of it is elevated and somewhat ecstatic.

My only downside was that the episode felt slightly rushed and fast-paced for a peaceful instalment, but the content more than makes up for it.

Knots Untie brought out more fan boy in me than I thought I already had, as I see the incredible page to screen adaptations and how the writers have made this a reality

And we're now just another episode away from meeting the bat wielding psychopath.
