The recently-refurbished Northumberland Hall in Alnwick will be open to the public on Sunday between 11am and 2pm.
The hall, in the town’s Market Place, has been refurbished and upgraded by Northumberland County Council to create a beautiful community wedding venue and to make it more attractive for events.
The grade I-listed building was built in 1826 by the third Duke of Northumberland, but over recent years has been looking increasingly tired and dated inside. It has now had a full internal refurbishment in keeping with its heritage.
New lighting, curtains and décor have transformed the interior of the hall while a new catering-style kitchen is making the preparation and service of meals much easier.
