RETAIL: Support our local shops
In response to the article by councillor Steven Bridgett regarding his promotion of wonky vegetables (Northumberland Gazette, February 25), I, and many others in Rothbury, feel that this time he has gone too far.
He is telling everyone to shop at Asda and Tesco (promoted previously by Jamie Oliver) whilst ignoring local businesses in the village, such as our local greengrocer and the Co-op, who struggle enough due to the three-year road closure.
His message should surely be ‘Support local businesses’.
