A public meeting is taking place in Embleton to give residents the chance to find out more about satellite broadband opportunities.
The session will be held on Monday, June 29, at the Creighton Hall, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm, and iNorthumberland is to attend.
The iNorthumberland programme is working to bring the superfast fibre network to the majority of properties in Northumberland, but given the geography and population density in the county there is not enough money to connect every property to fibre.
As a result, the county council is working with Avonline Broadband – a partner offering satellite broadband, which is a solution for those homes or businesses without a fibre solution in the foreseeable future.
County Coun Kate Cairns said: “This meeting will give people not receiving superfast broandband the chance to find out about satellite broadband.”
