RESEARCH: Market garden memories
I would be obliged for any information from the Alnwick '˜oldies' for photographs and information on the market gardens of the town.
I’ve researched much background material, plus some pictures, but have run out places to source.
The Royal Oak, Clive Nurseries and Spring Gardens were all large concerns, but as the first names closed in 1975 that was the end of market gardens in the town.
