Rob Marriner, the Glendale Gateway trustee with responsibility for housing, is offering to visit all tenants next Wednesday.
The Trust has 18 homes, mainly apartments in Wooler, including a number designed for older people.
“Like most landlords we only tend to see tenants when something goes wrong,” said Rob. “And given that one of our ambitions is to be the best landlord in Glendale we intend to do better than that.
“We want to talk to people to find out what they like and what they think might be improved – and to learn how we can best serve their needs. I’m looking forward to hearing what they have to say, both positives and negatives.”
But he has made it clear he doesn’t want to force himself on tenants. “If they don’t want to talk to me, that’s absolutely fine as well!”
