Regulator continues to inspect county's care providers
Inspectors have published four new reports on providers in Northumberland as the regulator continues to rate care services under its new regime.
Under the Care Quality Commission’s new programme of inspections, all of England’s adult social-care services are being given a rating – outstanding, good, requires improvement or inadequate – according to whether they are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
In the past week, reports have been published in which the Calvert Trust at Kielder, which offers residential respite care; Harwood Court care home, Cramlington; and Coqbeck Support Domiciliary Care Agency, based in Morpeth, were all rated as good.
Fairmeadows Home Care, which is based in Ashington and also provides domiciliary care, was rated as requires improvement overall, but was good in terms of being caring and responsive.
