A special tea had been laid on at the request of Upper Coquetdale Community Transport.

Santa Claus was Tom Mason, of Tom Mason and Son Plant Hire, accompanied by his daughter Nicola Crane, who is transport manager at the largely volunteer-run community transport group.

The whole event was turned musical by the volunteer driver on guitar and Nicola’s mother Hazel on accordion. Rothbury Parish Council and Upper Coquetdale Community Transport run a Friday service to take older residents to local shops.
