The Pride of Aln skiff was pictured at the traditional New Year's Day dip at Alnmouth beach by reader Jack Carrigan.
The skiff, run by Alnmouth Community Rowing Association, is one of many based on the St Ayles’ design being built predominantly around the Scottish coast.
The association aims to bring communities together to revive traditional skills of boat building and rowing and pass them on through practical involvement.
