A colourful bed throw has been created by an Amble woman to be auctioned off for this year’s Jam Jar Army charity.
Audrey Jones has created the throw to support Amble Shannon Lifeboat Appeal, which aims to raise £200,000.
Audrey said: “This bed throw has been made for the RNLI to help with the new lifeboat appeal.
“The throw has taken five months to make from just after Christmas to May; I have incorporated their colours trying to make it more interesting. Very soon the throw will be on view at the flower shop with grateful thanks to Ann and Richard.”
Tickets will be available there as well as from Raggy Dolls, Audrey, Eleanor Cassidy, from Amble Lifeboat Fundraisers, and the RNLI shop.
“I am hoping to make £1,000 so please, please buy a ticket to help in this worthy project,” Audrey added.
The draw will take place at the lifeboat station at the RNLI Harbour Day in August.
Audrey thanked PEC for the material, Josie in Fourways, and Edith Howlitson for the yellow, unavailable elsewhere.
