Students and instructors from the aerospace operators foundation course at RAF Boulmer lent a helping hand at the Northumbrian Hedgehog Rescue Trust.
The team carried out a range of maintenance jobs, including gardening and cleaning, at the Longframlington-based charity last week.
Sergeant Chris Fleming, SNCO Trade Training Flight, said: “Community projects are carried out by every course going through the Trade Training Flight. We want to highlight the importance to our recruits on giving back to the community and building relations.”
The charity works to relieve the suffering and distress of individual hedgehogs in need.
Carole Catchpole, who runs the Trust, said: “The RAF team did a fantastic job, doing all the heavy tasks.
“It was impressive to see all these young people so willing to help, which included tidying up the area, gardening, cleaning the perimeter of the hedgehog safe area and many other jobs, all with a smile.”
