They joined pupils from Grace Darling in Newbiggin, Thomas Bewick, James Knott and Josephine Butler in Ashington to learn and perform four pieces of music in under two hours, before putting on a concert for their parents.

The large scale transition event saw students perform Stand By Me, It Don’t Mean a Thing, The Blaydon Races and Pachelbel’s Canon together as a full orchestra, with ten different instruments from all four sections.
