PUPILS received awards for academic, sporting and artistic efforts at a north Northumberland school’s annual awards.

The prizes for children at Glendale Middle School were presented at a special presentation assembly on Monday.

The winners were: Jimmy Givens Shield for House Basketball and Sports Day Shield – Wooler House.

House Athletics awards: Year 5 – Jack Bell, KYeara Caldwell & Natalie Price; Year 6 – Daniel Fletcher & Lauren Carter; Year 7 – Kyle Muldoon & Ria Fairnington; Year 8 – Alex Nesbit & Annabel Blythe. Whittingham Shield for effort in PE and Games throughout the year (Year 8) – Jarod Lewis & Courtney Telford.

Award for Effort in Year 5 – Natalie Price; Award for Academic Success – George Dodds; Award for Effort in Year 6 – Ashley Gair; J.D. Marshall Cup (Scientific Enterprise in Year 6) – Scott Moffat; Dick Smith Award for Creative Endeavour (KS2) – Olivia Graham; Award for Academic Success in Year 6 – Daniel Fletcher.
