Children from two Alnwick schools are going up against rivals from across the region in a quirky business competition.
Pupils from Dukes Middle and Alnwick South First schools will compete against 14 other schools in the Boardroom Charity Challenge, organised by Newcastle Building Society.
Competitors are tasked with coming up with business ideas which focus on benefiting their local community while also making a profit.
The teams with the best ideas will be chosen by an initial judging panel to go forward to the competition’s final stages, where they will give a presentation to a panel of senior business figures in the boardroom at the Society’s principal office in Newcastle.
The overall challenge winner will receive £500 towards putting their business ideas into practice. The other participants will receive runner-up awards.
