Creative youngsters from two Amble schools have been presented with prizes for their efforts in a puffin picture competition.
Tommy Noddy, who is one of the mascots from Amble Puffin Festival, popped into Amble First School and Amble Link’s First School, to do the honours.
The winners were chosen by shopkeepers who displayed a collection of pupils’ pictures during the puffin festival, which was staged from May 20 to June 4.
The winners from Amble First School were: Dougie (nursery); Owen (Reception); Billy (Year 1); Katie (Year 2) Tyler (Year 3); and Tong (Year 4).
The winners from the Links were: Sam (nursery); Craig (Reception); Megan (Year 1); Danni (Year 2); Lola (Year 3); Alannah (Year 4).
The prizes were donated for the second year by Karl Brunton from Amble Marina.
