President re-elected

Meurig Raymond has been re-elected as president of the National Farmers' Union.

The mixed farmer, of Pembrokeshire in Wales, will lead the union for another two years.

Minette Batters, a livestock farmer from Wiltshire, was re-elected as deputy president, as was Essex farmer Guy Smith as vice-president.

“I’m extremely proud to be re-elected,” said Raymond. “We need to build on what has been achieved over the past two years.”
