Prawn pots stolen from Northumberland harbour

Police are appealing for witnesses following the theft of prawn pots in Northumberland.

It happened on Monday between 3.30am and 4.04am when 19 prawn pots were stolen from the harbour at Amble where they had been left outside next to the harbour wall. The stolen pots were put into a small white van and driven off down Harbour Road.

The offender is described as a white man, slim build, five feet seven-inches tall and was wearing a Russian-style fur hat and dark clothing.

Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone who may be offered these prawn pots for sale, to call 101 quoting reference number 471 04/05/16.
