POTHOLES: It's a never-ending circle

We have a series of potholes in the main estate road within Allerburn Lea.

Every few months, workers arrive to supposedly fix them.

What we are left with is a series of ‘cow pats’, which in a few months will be potholes again and the same sorry saga will start all over again.

My point is what a total waste of council taxpayers’ money this is.

Surely, it is better to do a proper job once than have this ‘sticking plaster’ approach every few months.

It might say in the council blurb that a record number of potholes have been filled in.

But surely it’s false economy if workers have to come back time and time again.

I’m certain that if this standard of so-called repair was done on a private drive, you would either not pay or would want your money back.

I’m dismayed that the council deems this acceptable.
