Majority of Northumberland Gazette readers know how they will vote in the General Election

Voting is set to take place on Thursday, December 12, around six weeks after the Brexit negotiations in Westminster.

So, on Tuesday, December 10, in our daily Facebook poll we asked you: “Have you made up your mind how you're going to vote this General Election with only two days left to vote?”

Out of over 1,100 readers who voted, 83% voted yes while 17% claimed they were still unsure who to vote for.

Those who have made up their mind shared differing views on who to vote for and why.

Suzanne Mcleod advised: “Vote policies not personalities. Vote for the party you think will improve life not only for yourself but the vulnerable in society.”

Martin Jones argued: “The vast majority knew which way they were voting before day one of the Campaign! It is largely a waste of time.”

Richard Abbott-Brailey said: “Not enamoured with any of the party leaders but I will vote with my conscience.”

Una Coulson also said: “Voting with my conscience.”

Kim Cowie claimed she will be voting “tactically.”

John Murdoch said: “Postal Vote - then up to me who I choose!”

Cat Humble commented: “Already voted through post.”

Julie Barnett also said: “Already done it via postal.”

Raymond Beech added: “I want another vote.”
