Wooler carol service raises nearly £500 for MIND and the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution

Nearly £500 has been raised for charity at a parish carol service in Wooler.

St Mary's Church, Wooler.

The event, at St Mary’s Church, raised £481.44 for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) and mental health charity MIND.

The i newsletter cut through the noise

A RABI representative gave an informative talk but Wooler Parish Council, which organised the event, expressed disappointment that MIND did not attend.

It was felt that the bad weather had an adverse effect on the attendance and that the stage should be utilised more next year.
