Burgage holders in Alnmouth are understood to be considering allocating common land near the golf course for motorhome parking.
Cllr Shaun Whyte, chairman of Alnmouth Parish Council, said: “I had a meeting with Donald Hall of the burgage holders and they are thinking about allocating a bit of land for motorhomes from the small car park up towards the gates that lead to the Battery on the landward side of the golf course.

The Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Partnership has asked coastal councils to suggest potential sites for touring campervans, caravans and motorhomes.
It is seeking a solution to the issues which blighted a number of coastal communities last summer when tourists descended on Northumberland in their droves.
Meanwhile, the parish council has objected to planning applications for Riverview on Shepherds Hill and Letton House on Northumberland Street due to concerns about the lack of parking.

"They intend to create profiles of the 31 individuals who gave their lives in the first and second world wars, plus one who died in the Argyle Street bombing,” explained Cllr Whyte
"Those will be marked on an indexed, illustrated map and placed at six sites around the village. There is also going to be a banner and bunting around the war memorial itself.”
The parish council is also investigating the cost of cleaning the war memorial and surrounding area.
