Tony Lowe, senior planning officer at Northumberland County Council, reported: ‘It is considered that the proposed dwelling has been well designed and that the scale of the dwellings, in terms of height, is appropriate.

‘The proposed new dwellings will contribute to the housing requirements and given the context of the village setting will not be an insignificant addition to the housing stock within an otherwise sustainable location, which will add to the vitality and viability of the village and help protect existing services.’

There were no objections from local residents, Tillside Parish Council or statutory consultees.
