Dog fouling 'becoming a real problem' in Northumberland town
They were speaking after a letter of complaint from a resident was read out at a Wooler Parish Council meeting.
“It’s becoming a real problem in Wooler,” said Coun Kevan Curry. “It seems to be people going out early in the morning or late at night.”

Hide AdCoun Mark Napier suggested it was a ‘generational’ issue with older pet owners to blame.
“I don’t think some people realise their dog has fouled,” he said.
But Coun Caroline Cumming added: “I asked a young woman to pick up after her dog and she said it wasn’t her place.”
The parish council agreed to investigate whether new signs could be put up. An approach will be made to Northumberland County Council.
But Coun Armstrong said: “I don’t think the signs will make much difference.”Residents were urged to report issues via the Northumberland County Council website.
