Could you be a snow angel? Fresh appeal for snow wardens in Wooler

Wooler Parish Council has signed up to Northumberland County Council’s Snow Warden Scheme – but has had no volunteers yet.

Councillors will now try to recruit wardens to help clear snow and ice from pavements.

It was stressed that volunteers would target critical areas, such as places where dialysis patients live and streets where there are no grit boxes. Volunteers will be provided with equipment.
