Beadnell Parish Council is conducting a community survey of residents, businesses, second home, caravan and holiday home owners.

It has been prompted by recent housing developments in the village and the growing impact of tourism.

They are asking parishioners for their thoughts and ideas of how to make Beadnell a better, more attractive, place to live, work or do business.

‘We may use these for national or local funding opportunities such as Coastal Community funding which the government offered areas with a high percentage of second or holiday homes or Northumberland Estates offering the land for Kennedy Green housing at a reduced cost,’ state councillors in their message to constituents.

‘More recently Beadnell Parish Council negotiated a sum with the developer of Coast Houses in Meadow Lane, as a contribution to the community, to place a temporary security fence on the playground boundary.

‘The parish council would like to hear the views of all members of your household and those running or working in local businesses. These improvements could be as big or as small as you wish. We will use your comments to guide our decisions when opportunities arise.’
