Arriva announces Northumberland bus reductions in light of coronavirus measures

Bus services in Northumberland will be reduced from Monday, Arriva North East has confirmed.

Arriva will be moving to a Saturday timetable for all Monday to Friday services. Sunday services will remain the same as normal.

A statement released on March 19, said: ‘In light of the Government’s latest advice and recommendations, as well as planned school closures, we can confirm as of Monday, March 23, we will have to reduce the frequency of some services.

‘However, we will still be operating our key routes to ensure customers can continue to access critical services, and we are continuing to tailor our service changes in line with ongoing advice from the Government and public health bodies.
