Police warning after thefts in Seahouses and Beadnell

Police are urging van drivers to remove tools and valuables from their vehicles overnight after a number of thefts in Seahouses and Beadnell.

Three vans were broken into overnight on Tuesday, July 24 and equipment was stolen.

In James Street, Seahouses, four Bosch drills, a Bosch ratchet, a Bosch circular saw, a Bosch jigsaw and a Dewalt drill were taken.

A long-handled Stihl saw, a Husqvarna strimmer and an ECO hedgetrimmer were taken in Swinhoe Road, Beadnell, and an orange Stihl saw and a Hitachi nail gun from a van in King Street, Seahouses.

Officers are asking drivers to remove all tools, work equipment and valuables from their vehicles overnight and to lock their vehicles when leaving them.
