Neighbourhood Inspector Liz Hall said: “We want to remind parents of young players and their supporters to behave considerately when they park here. There is parking available at Wooler FC or Ferguson’s Yard and we would urge people to use these premises.

Nuisance and illegal parking on pathways, blocking driveways and causing obstructions is a big concern for residents.

“Careless parking causes problems for other motorists in the area, for pedestrians and people living nearby. It also creates a potential safety risk, as inconsiderately parked cars reduce visibility for pedestrians and can be dangerous. We are appealing to people to think about where they are parking, to prevent further complaints.”

Officers will continue to monitor the situation and carry out patrols in the area.
