Police have launched an appeal to find a missing man after his belongings were discovered at the side of a Northumberland reservoir.
At 2.14pm yesterday, police received a call from the member of the public who had found a man’s clothing and belongings left next to Kielder Reservoir. Police attended and carried out searches in the area to try and trace the owner, but they have been unable to do so.
Within the belongings was an ID and police are releasing the details of this man in a hope to trace him or to speak to anyone who might have seen him in the area in recent days.
He is thought to be Kilian Wolfgang Ruthlein, who is 26 and from Darmstadt in Germany. Kilian is around 5ft 9ins tall and of medium build.
Officers believe he may have been in the area in the days leading up to Friday and are appealing for anyone who has seen Kilian, or who has any information as to his whereabouts, to contact police as soon as possible on 101 ext 69191.
