Police investigate Wooler incidents

Police are appealing for witnesses following two incidents reported at Wooler bus station.

Officers received a report of criminal damage which happened overnight between 5pm on Sunday, November 13, and 9.15am on Monday November 14. Offenders went into the bus station waiting room on Market Place and set fire to paper on a bench causing damage to the bench and a mural.

There was also an earlier incident at the bus station on the evening of Monday, October 31, when it was reported that several youths gathered there and threw eggs, some of which hit nearby property causing a nuisance.

In response neighbourhood officers are increasing their patrols in this area and are asking for help from the community to identify those responsible.
