Police investigate spate of fires in Amble

A number of small bonfires have been started by The Braid in the woods near the Marina.

Northumberland Neighbourhood Inspector Liz Hall said: “The public need to understand the dangers of playing with fire. They can injure themselves or others and cause serious criminal damage.

"Extra officer patrols are being carried out in the area to carry out inquiries and reassure any concerned members of the community.”
