Police investigate incident at Alnmouth beach

Police are appealing for information after an incident on Alnmouth beach.

Between 1pm and 1.15pm on Wednesday, July 6, a 40-year-old woman was walking her dog along the stretch when another dog, not on a lead, approached them and began barking and acting aggressively.

The owner then came over and began shouting and swearing at the woman. He is described as being white, in his mid-to-early 20s, of slim build and around 5ft 9ins tall. He spoke with a local accent.

Officers want to identify and speak to this man about the incident. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1014 06/07/16.
