Police concerned for missing Northumberland man

Police are concerned for the safety of a Northumberland man, who was reported missing more than a week ago.

Stephen Henderson Ramshaw, 39, is from the Ashington area and was reported missing to police on Thursday, April 7. He is 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build and has a pale complexion. He was last seen wearing a mustard coloured waterproof type jacket that looked too big for him, blue jeans and dark trainers. He has short dark hair with black facial stubble. 

Two witnesses have told police that they saw Stephen on Friday, April 8, in the area of Kirkley Drive and on Monday, April 11, in the area of Third Avenue/Hawthorn Road. He has failed to show up to any appointments or meetings since April 7 and his friends and family are very concerned for his welfare.

Police are appealing for anyone who might have seen him to contact them. Stephen is of no fixed abode and officers are urging residents in Ashington to check their yards, gardens, sheds, outhouses, allotments and any neighbouring vacant properties, in an effort to trace Stephen.
