Police close Northumberland road after accident
Part of a major route through Northumberland has been closed following a road accident.
A stretch of the A68 between Low Cowden, south of Bellingham, and Toftsburn Bridge, near Otterburn, is closed in both directions this evening.
Northumbria Police said the road is expected to reopen at about 9pm.
Diversions are in place.
