Police appeal for suspicious vehicle

Police are appealing for people in the rural areas to be on the look out for a suspicious van, believed to be involved in crime.

They are looking for a white Vauxhall Movano panel van bearing the registration number BT56 OAD, believed false plates, or similar which may have ‘waterboard’ markings on it.

It is thought to be involved with the theft of a black Saab Estate car, registration number HN04 XEK, along with a green Yamaha off road sports quad, a silver 6x4 galvanised trailer and an orange chainsaw from a farm near Wooler on Wednesday afternoon.

It may also be linked to a theft from Cragside Estate, Rothbury that occurred the same day.
