Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a missing man from a Northumberland hotel.

David Bibby, who is believed to be in his 40s, and possibly from the Penrith area of Cumbria, was reported missing after he failed to return to the Black Bull Hotel in Wooler.

Mr Bibby told staff he was going cycling on the Cheviots and would be returning in the evening but staff raised concerns when he didn’t return. He is described as being 5ft 10ins tall, slim build and wearing cycling clothing. Officers are following a number of lines of inquiries to trace him.

Anyone who may have seen Mr Bibby is asked to contact police on 101 ext 69191, quoting reference 1039 150115.
