Police appeal after lamb attacked and killed on Northumberland farm

Police are appealing for information after a lamb was attacked and killed in Northumberland.

Police received a report that the animal at a farm in Christon Bank, near Alnwick, had been found dead following the incident, which happened between 9pm last Thursday and 9.30am the following day.

A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said that, at this stage, it is believed that the injuries were caused by a dog and it is possible that someone may have been with the dog at the time of the attack.
