Pocklington fire station wins top award

Pocklington Fire Station was crowned Best Station at the 6th Annual Humberside Fire and Rescue Community Awards.

The awards took place on 25 September at the Country Park Inn, Hessle, and were hosted by BBC presenters Blair Jacobs and Damian Johnson

“It proved to be an emotional and inspirational night,” said an event spokesperson.

“In front of a packed house, awards were given to those who have showed exceptional bravery, courage, determination and teamwork.”

The Best Fire Station Award, sponsored by KC, was based on performance and standards as well as nomination by group managers and public letters of thanks.
