Apropos the retirement of Roy Todd as chairman of the Alnwick Playhouse Trust, your readers should also be aware of the sterling work of Bill Hugonin and Steve Cowton, who had both the vision and dedication to bring the whole concept of the Playhouse into existence.
Without their expertise, both financial and artistic, I personally feel that there would not have been a Playhouse as we know it today.
