Set in the 1970s, this new one-woman show is about an intelligent, happy, little girl Belinda, who loves life, her two brothers and stealing the Priest’s biscuits with her best friend Angela. But her brothers are not walking properly and when she opens ‘the drawer she must never open’ her world is cataclysmically blown apart.

Based on the performer’s experience of growing up with two brothers born with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, this moving, heartening and fun show is a celebration of the courage and resilience of the human spirit – a tragi-comedy with biscuits, told with quirky storytelling, projections, music and a little bit of Abba.

It will be staged at Amble Parish Hall on Saturday, March 18, at 7.30pm. Book tickets at N&F Young, Amble, on 01665 712324 or www.highlightsnorth.co.uk
