Pet food appeal for ‘stray in a manager’

A local veterinary clinic is appealing for donations of pet food to help stray animals.

The Battle Flatts clinic, which runs the appeal every Christmas, is also collecting treats and toys which it will pass on to local animal charities.

Spokesperson Angie Baxter said: “Christmas is one of the busiest times of year for these charities, but unfortunately is also a time when animals tend to be forgotten.”
